1. Scope of Work:
The Network Infra Supervisor oversees the design, deployment, administration, and continuous optimization of the enterprise network infrastructure and Data Center facilities. This role ensures high availability, scalability, robust performance, and multilayered security across all enterprise networks (LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, Wireless, and Data Center environments). The position directly supervises the network administration team, steers infrastructure projects, enforces ITIL-aligned service management standards (Incident, Problem, and Change Management), manages vendor SLAs, and collaborates closely with Information Security to protect corporate network assets.
2. Job Responsibilities and Duties:
Network Design and Planning
- Topology & Architecture: Design, update, and maintain comprehensive network architecture and topology diagrams. Plan for network scalability and business growth across LAN, WAN, SD-WAN, and Enterprise Wireless systems with built-in high availability and redundancy.
- Capacity Planning: Continuously assess network bandwidth, device capacity, and resource utilization to forecast needs and recommend infrastructure upgrades or expansions.
- Technology Evaluation: Research, benchmark, and evaluate emerging networking hardware, technologies, and automation tools to deliver technical feasibility studies and business-aligned adoption proposals.
Network Implementation and Deployment
- Deployment & Configuration: Supervise and participate in configuring and deploying core network hardware, including enterprise switches (Core/Distribution/Access) and edge wireless cloud controllers.
- Maintenance & Change Management: Schedule and execute routine maintenance, firmware updates, OS upgrades, and vulnerability patch management according to established Change Management procedures to prevent service interruptions.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network health and performance utilizing enterprise tools (e.g., PRTG, Zabbix, ). Identify throughput bottlenecks, latency issues, or packet drops, and optimize configurations for maximum efficiency
- Fiber Network Design: Design and plan campus and inter-building fiber optic backbones, structured optical distribution networks, and pathway routes (underground conduits, aerial routes, and riser backbones). Define core requirements for deployments for office network and CCTV.
- Documentation & Standards: Establish and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), golden configuration templates, IP schema management, and network disaster recovery.
Data Center Facilities & Environmental Management
- Environmental Monitoring: Continuously monitor and manage Data Center/Server Room environments, including ambient temperature, humidity, power distribution, and equipment status using automated sensor alert systems.
- Preventive Maintenance (PM): Coordinate and supervise routine preventive maintenance schedules with specialized vendors for critical facility infrastructure, including Uninterruptible Power Supplies (UPS), emergency standby generators, Precision Air Conditioning (PAC/HVAC), and clean-agent fire suppression systems.
