Central Warehouse Manager

Key Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operations Management:
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, transfer, and returns.
- Ensure smooth stock flow between central warehouse, showrooms, production, and other business units.
- Develop and enforce warehouse SOPs, workflow standards, and operational controls.
- Monitor warehouse space utilization and improve layout efficiency for safety and productivity.
- Ensure timely and accurate preparation of goods for delivery or internal transfer.

Inventory Control:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure physical stock matches system stock at all times.
- Lead cycle counts, stock takes, reconciliations, and investigations of stock discrepancies.
- Control slow-moving, aging, damaged, and obsolete inventory and recommend action plans.
- Strengthen inventory security and shrinkage prevention measures.
- Coordinate with finance and internal stakeholders on stock adjustments and inventory reporting.

Team Leadership:
- Lead, supervise, and develop warehouse supervisors, warehouse officers, stock controllers, drivers, and support staff.
- Set daily, weekly, and monthly targets for warehouse teams.
- Conduct performance monitoring, coaching, training, and discipline in line with company policy.
- Plan manpower allocation and shift scheduling to support operational demand.
- Build a culture of accountability, teamwork, and continuous improvement.

Compliance, Control, and Safety:
- Ensure compliance with company policies, warehouse controls, audit requirements, and internal regulations.
- Maintain proper documentation for receiving, dispatch, transfers, returns, and stock movement approvals.
- Enforce workplace safety, 5S, housekeeping, and warehouse security standards.
- Ensure proper handling of products to minimize damage, loss, and operational risk.
- Support fraud prevention, confidentiality, and asset protection requirements expected of warehouse leadership roles.

Cross-Functional Coordination:
- Work closely with Purchasing, Sales, Showroom, Production, Delivery, Finance, and Admin teams to ensure accurate stock planning and fulfillment.
- Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities to meet business requirements.
- Support new branch/showroom openings, product launches, and project-based stock movements when required.
- Provide timely updates to management on warehouse performance, issues, and improvement plans.

Reporting and Improvement:
- Prepare regular warehouse reports including stock accuracy, receiving/dispatch performance, stock aging, losses, damages, and productivity metrics.
- Analyze operational data and recommend process improvements to reduce cost and improve service level.
- Lead warehouse improvement projects, including system control, layout improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.
- Support ERP/system discipline for inventory transactions and stock visibility.
