Description:
The Graduate English Preparatory Program Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality, graduate-level English for Academic Purposes (EAP) instruction to professional adult learners preparing for entry into English-medium Master’s degree programs. The role focuses on developing advanced academic literacy, disciplinary communication skills, and critical thinking competencies required for success in postgraduate study.
Job Responsibilities:
Instruction & Learning Design
- Teach graduate-level academic English courses aligned with master’s degree entry requirements.
- Develop academic writing, reading, listening, and speaking skills.
- Integrate critical thinking, research skills, and academic integrity.
- Scaffold instruction for diverse adult learners.
Curriculum & Assessment
- Design assessments aligned with graduate-level standards.
- Provide detailed, formative feedback.
- Support learner progression through data-informed instruction.
Student Support & Engagement
- Support adult learners transitioning to graduate study.
- Foster an inclusive and rigorous learning environment.

- Master’s degree or higher in TESOL, Applied Linguistics, EAP, or related field.
- At least five years’ experience of teaching academic English to adult learners.
- Strong knowledge of academic writing and citation conventions.
- High level of English language proficiency, equivalent to CEFR C2 or IELTS band 8.5/9.
- Ability to respond flexibly to emerging needs in mixed-ability EAP programs.
- Familiarity with IELTS/TOEFL benchmarks.
