MEP Manager
JOB TITLE: MEP MANAGER
REPORTS TO: MANAGEMENT
LOCATION: ST 289, KHAN TOUL KORK, PHNOM PENH
SALARY RANGE: NEGOTIABLE
Job Purpose
The MEP Manager is responsible for the overall planning, coordination, supervision, and
delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, and related MEP systems
throughout the project lifecycle.
The position will lead MEP engineers, subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams to ensure
that all MEP works are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance
with approved drawings, specifications, applicable codes, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
1. MEP Planning & Coordination
• Plan and coordinate all MEP activities from design through installation, testing,
commissioning, and handover.
• Coordinate MEP systems with architectural, structural, civil, and other disciplines.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQs, contracts, and MEP scope of works.
• Lead MEP coordination and clash-detection activities.
• Identify design conflicts and provide practical technical solutions.
2. Design & Technical Management
• Review and approve MEP shop drawings, technical submissions, material submittals,
calculations, and method statements.
• Review consultant and subcontractor designs for compliance with project requirements.
• Ensure MEP systems are coordinated and constructible before installation.
• Provide technical support and resolve engineering issues arising during construction.
• Maintain accurate records of design changes and as-built information.
3. Site & Construction Management• Supervise and monitor MEP installation activities on site.
• Direct and coordinate MEP subcontractors and specialist contractors.
• Ensure installation works comply with approved drawings, specifications, codes, and
standards.
• Conduct regular site inspections and coordinate corrective actions.
• Monitor progress against the approved project schedule.
4. Procurement & Cost Control
• Review MEP material and equipment requirements and coordinate procurement
activities.
• Evaluate technical compliance of suppliers and subcontractors.
• Monitor MEP budgets, variations, change orders, and cost exposure.
• Assist the Project Manager with tendering, scope definition, and cost evaluation.
• Ensure long-lead MEP equipment is identified and ordered on time.
5. Testing & Commissioning
• Plan and coordinate testing and commissioning of MEP systems.
• Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, and authority approvals.
• Ensure all systems are fully operational before handover.
• Coordinate preparation of O&M manuals, testing records, warranties, training, and asbuilt documentation.
• Manage snagging, rectification, and final MEP handover.
6. Quality & Safety
• Ensure MEP works comply with approved quality standards and project specifications.
• Implement inspection and testing procedures for MEP installations.
• Coordinate with the HSE team to ensure safe execution of MEP works.
• Ensure contractors comply with applicable building codes, regulations, and safety requirements.
7. Team & Stakeholder Management
• Lead and mentor MEP engineers, supervisors, and technical staff.
• Conduct regular MEP coordination meetings and track outstanding actions.
• Liaise with the Client, Consultant, Project Manager, architects, authorities, suppliers, and
subcontractors.
• Prepare MEP progress reports and provide technical updates to senior manager.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, ELV/low-voltage, and
associated building services.
• Experience managing MEP subcontractors and specialist suppliers.
• Strong understanding of construction drawings, specifications, BOQs, method
statements, and technical submittals.
• Knowledge of applicable local and international MEP codes and standards.
Technical Skills
• AutoCAD
• Revit MEP / BIM coordination
• Navisworks or equivalent clash-detection software
• Microsoft Office / Excel
• MEP scheduling and project-management tools
• Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings, schematics, SLDs, shop drawings, and technical specifications.

The MEP Manager will primarily work on construction sites and must be prepared to
attend project meetings, inspections, coordination sessions, and site activities as
required. The role may require extended working hours during critical project phases,
testing, commissioning, and handover.
