Technical Manager
Position: Technical Manager
Department: Technical / Engineering Department
Reports To: CEO, General Manager, Project Director
Location: Head Office /Project Site as required
1. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A. Technical Management
• Lead and manage the technical team and provide technical direction throughout the project.
• Review and coordinate architectural, structural, civil, MEP, and other technical requirements.
• Review project drawings, specifications, BOQ, and contract documents.
• Identify technical risks and propose appropriate engineering solutions.
• Provide technical advice to Project Managers, Construction Managers, Site Engineers, and
management.
• Resolve technical problems arising during construction.
• Review design changes and assess their technical and construction impact.
B. Construction Technical Support
• Provide technical support to site teams during construction.
• Review construction methodology and temporary works proposals where required.
• Monitor compliance with approved construction methods and technical requirements.
• Participate in site inspections and technical meetings.
• Support the team in reviewing material samples, technical data sheets, and method
statements
C. Tender & Pre-Construction Support
• Review tender drawings, specifications, BOQ, and other technical documents.
• Provide technical input for tender preparation and cost estimation.
• Assist in preparing technical proposals and construction methodologies.
• Propose alternative materials, systems, and construction methods where appropriate.
• Coordinate with the QS/Commercial team on technical matters related to cost and changes.

• Bachelor's Degree/Master in Civil Engineering, Architecture, MEP Engineering, or a related
field.
• Minimum 8–10 years of relevant construction/project experience, preferably with experience
in building construction.
• Minimum 3–5 years in a technical management or senior engineering position.
• Experience in high-rise buildings, commercial buildings, residential buildings, schools, hotels,
or similar projects is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, technical documentation, and design
coordination.
• Knowledge of QA/QC procedures and construction quality requirements.
• Good understanding of contract documents and technical specifications.
• Knowledge of MS Office, MS Project, AutoCAD; Revit/BIM and Navisworks is an advantage
