Merchandising Officer
UC Mart is seeking a highly organized and proactive Merchandising Officer to join our growing retail team. In this role, you will be the bridge between our convenience store chain and our supplier network. Your primary responsibility will be gathering, verifying, and maintaining critical product and vendor information, managing the product sampling and testing pipeline, and ensuring our shelves are stocked with high-quality inventory that drives sales.
* Act as the primary point of contact for new and existing suppliers; collect, verify, and input comprehensive vendor profiles and product specifications into our inventory system.
* Coordinate the retrieval of product samples from vendors for quality assessments, packaging reviews, and taste/utility testing.
* Collaborate with internal teams to ensure all incoming product samples meet safety, regulatory, and company standards before retail approval.
* Monitor convenience store trends, analyze competitor offerings, and assist the Merchandising Manager in selecting optimal product assortments.
* Work closely with the Logistics, Warehouse, and Store Operations teams to ensure seamless product onboarding and accurate master data setup.

* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel for data management) and familiarity with retail ERP or inventory software.
* High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and excellent written and verbal communication for vendor negotiations.
* A proactive problem-solver who can manage multiple product timelines and coordinate testing schedules efficiently.
