Interior Designer
Role Overview
SM Studio is seeking a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to support the design and delivery of hospitality, healthcare, residential, and office projects.
The ideal candidate should be capable of developing design concepts through detailed documentation, balancing aesthetics, functionality, technical requirements, and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
1. Concept Development
• Develop interior design concepts aligned with client briefs and project objectives
• Prepare mood boards, material selections, and design presentations
• Translate functional requirements into creative and practical solutions
2. Space Planning & Technical Drawings
• Prepare layout plans, space planning studies, and zoning proposals
• Produce detailed drawing sets including floor plans, elevations, sections, RCPs, and custom joinery details follow our studio standard drawings.
• Ensure designs comply with local building codes and safety standards
3. 3D Modelling & Visualization
• Develop accurate 3D models to communicate design intent
• Produce presentation-quality renderings and can do post-production with photoshop or AI enhancement is plus.
• Convey materiality, lighting mood, and spatial atmosphere clearly
4. Documentation & Coordination
• Prepare Construction and Tender drawing packages
• Coordinate with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and project managers
• Conduct site visits to ensure design intent is properly implemented

• Strong proficiency in:
AutoCAD, SketchUp, SketchUp Layout, Photoshop
• Experience with rendering tools such as:
Enscape, V-Ray, D5 Render is advantage.
• Solid understanding of materials, detailing, lighting, and construction methods
Education & Experience
• Degree or Diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• 2–5 years of relevant experience (hospitality or healthcare experience is an advantage)
Preferred Attributes
• Strong design sensibility and attention to detail
• Ability to manage deadlines and multiple projects
• Good communication skills (Khmer and basic English)
• Responsible, Punctual, proactive, and team-oriented,
