Senior Manager, Insolvency & Recovery
- Lead and oversee major and complex insolvency, liquidation, bank liquidation, restructuring and recovery
assignments from planning through completion.
- Take overall responsibility for the quality, delivery, resources, budgets and timelines of assigned engagements.
- Provide strategic direction, technical guidance and oversight to team members.
- Review and assess complex financial, operational and recovery matters, including assets, liabilities, loan
portfolios, claims and financial positions.
- Develop and oversee recovery, restructuring, asset realization and liquidation strategies to maximize
recovery outcomes.
- Lead complex loan recovery, claims verification, asset realization, settlement and distribution activities.
- Review and approve working papers, financial analysis, reports, recommendations and other key assignment deliverables.
- Manage senior-level relationships and negotiations with clients, creditors, banks, financial institutions, legal
advisers, regulators and other key stakeholders.
- Provide professional judgement and practical recommendations on complex issues, risks and recovery
opportunities.
- Present key findings, recommendations and progress updates to clients, creditors, Management and other senior stakeholders.
- Identify and develop business opportunities, including proposals, presentations and new service opportunities.
- Support the growth and development of the Insolvency & Recovery practice through client development, market opportunities and service enhancement.
- Coach and develop team members and contribute to building a strong technical and professional team.
- Act as a key escalation point for significant technical, commercial and operational matters.
- Ensure assignments comply with applicable laws, regulations, professional standards and internal policies.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Partner or Managing Partner as required.

- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Law or a related discipline.
- A professional qualification i.e. ICAEW, ACCA, CPA Australia or equivalent is preferred. Relevant professional qualification in insolvency, restructuring or recovery will be an advantage.
- Minimum 7-8 years of relevant experience in insolvency, liquidation, recovery, restructuring, audit, accounting, banking or a related field.
- Strong experience in bank liquidation, loan recovery, financial institution-related assignments, corporate
insolvency or complex restructuring engagements will be an advantage.
- Strong technical knowledge of insolvency, restructuring and recovery processes.
- Strong understanding of financial statements, accounting principles, financial analysis and recovery assessments.
- Strong strategic thinking, analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Excellent report-writing, presentation, negotiation and communication skills.
- Proven ability to lead complex assignments, manage multiple engagements and oversee teams.
- Strong senior-level client and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound professional judgement and manage sensitive or complex matters.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and Word.
- Able to work independently and take overall ownership of engagements.
- Willing to travel and conduct site visits when required.
- High level of integrity, professionalism and confidentiality.
