JOB SUMMARY
The Tax & Compliance Officer is responsible for executing the day-to-day preparation of tax computations, reconciliations, and filing documentation across all F&B outlets under the guidance of the Senior Tax & Compliance Officer. This role ensures all assigned tax obligations are accurately prepared, properly documented, and submitted for review within internal deadlines, contributing to the organization's overall tax compliance discipline and audit readiness.
Job Description
• Prepare tax computations and filing schedules — VAT, withholding tax, and other applicable taxes — for assigned outlets, ensuring all workpapers are accurate, supported by complete documentation, and submitted to the Senior Officer within internal review deadlines.
• Compile and organize supporting documents for tax filings including invoices, payment records, contracts, and transaction listings, ensuring all evidence is properly referenced, filed, and accessible for review at all times.
• Prepare monthly VAT transaction listings and withholding tax summaries, ensuring all taxable transactions are captured, correctly classified, and reconciled to source documents before submission to the Senior Officer.
• Track assigned filing and payment deadlines on the tax compliance calendar, ensuring preparation tasks are completed and escalated for Senior Officer review well in advance of statutory due dates.
• Reconcile tax-related ledger balances — VAT payable, withholding tax payable, and tax accrual accounts — against supporting schedules on a monthly basis, identifying and reporting discrepancies to the Senior Officer for resolution.
• Coordinate with the Accounting and AP teams to obtain transaction records, payment confirmations, and invoice details needed to complete tax computation workpapers accurately and on time.
• Support tax authority correspondence and audit preparation by organizing requested documents, preparing document listings, and compiling filing history records as directed by the Senior Tax & Compliance Officer.
• Monitor and record regulatory filing confirmations and tax payment receipts, maintaining an up-to-date filing status log and alerting the Senior Officer to any unconfirmed submissions or outstanding payment evidence.
• Maintain complete and audit-ready tax documentation — computation workpapers, filing confirmations, payment receipts, and correspondence records — in structured files in accordance with internal documentation standards.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Taxation, or related field (Fresh grads with relevant internships welcome).
Experience: 1–2 years in tax compliance or general accounting, preferably in F&B, hospitality, or multi-outlet environments.
Tax Knowledge: Working knowledge of local tax filings, VAT classification, withholding tax, and basic reconciliations.
Tech Skills: Proficient in MS Excel and accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks); familiarity with e-filing platforms is a plus.
Execution: Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple tax preparation deadlines with complete documentation.
Soft Skills: Accountable and reliable; proactive in flagging data gaps and communicating clearly across teams.
