KYŌ Restaurant Group is a Japanese-focused food and beverage group founded in Cambodia in 2020. The group began with KYŌ Omakase and has since expanded into multiple dining concepts ranging from omakase to modern shabu, handroll bar, and Yakiniku.

Position Summary
As the Restaurant Manager, you will be the driving force behind the daily operations, guest experience, and financial success of KENTO HANDROLL & SAKÉ. You will lead a passionate front-of-house (FOH) and back-of-house (BOH) team, ensuring the highest standards of service, food quality, and hospitality.
The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a high-volume environment, possesses a deep appreciation for Japanese cuisine and saké culture, and understands the nuances of the BKK1 dining scene.
Operations & Guest Experience
Daily Management: Oversee all opening, closing, and daily service procedures to ensure smooth operations.
Hospitality Excellence: Maintain a high level of guest satisfaction by engaging with patrons, handling feedback gracefully, and fostering a welcoming atmosphere.
Quality Control: Collaborate closely with the Head Chef to ensure food presentation, taste, and speed of service consistently align with brand standards.
Beverage Program: Manage the saké and beverage inventory, ensuring proper storage, temperature control, and that staff are well-trained on pairing recommendations.
Team Leadership & Culture
Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and mentor FOH staff to deliver attentive, knowledgeable, and efficient service.
Performance Tracking: Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback to foster a culture of growth.
Compliance: Enforce strict health, safety, and sanitation guidelines for both front and back of house.
Financials & Administration
P&L Management: Monitor restaurant labor costs, food & beverage waste, and operational expenses to maximize profitability.
Inventory & Ordering: Manage stock levels for OS&E (operating supplies and equipment) and beverages, coordinating with suppliers for timely deliveries.
Reporting: Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly sales and operational reports for the Kyō Restaurant Group executive team.

Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably in high-end casual dining, sushi/Japanese concepts, or premium cocktail/saké bars.
Location Savvy: Strong familiarity with the BKK1 demographic and Phnom Penh’s competitive hospitality landscape.
Language: Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Khmer or Japanese is highly advantageous.
Skills & Competencies
Deep knowledge of Japanese culinary culture, particularly sushi/handrolls and saké.
Strong financial acumen with experience managing POS systems, labor budgets, and inventory software.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and crisis-management skills.
Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, evenings, and public holidays.
