Production Manager
- Project Setup and Commissioning
- Support the Project Lead in translating approved production objectives and capacity assumptions into facility layouts, process flows and implementation plans.
- Define production requirements for equipment, utilities, material flow, hygiene zoning and operator access, and contribute to supplier evaluation and procurement decisions.
- Coordinate installation, testing, commissioning and trial production with relevant teams, maintaining readiness plans and schedules and escalating key risks or delays.
- Production Planning and Control
- Develop and implement production plans based on demand forecasts, capacity, material availability, staffing, equipment readiness and delivery priorities.
- Monitor production performance, resolve bottlenecks and adjust resources or schedules to achieve targets.
- Establish production standards, work instructions, batch records and reporting routines, and coordinate production trials and process scale-up with relevant teams.
- Food Safety, Quality and Compliance
- Ensure production activities comply with GMP, HACCP, applicable Cambodian regulations and company policies and procedures.
- Work with Quality Assurance and relevant teams to implement hygiene, sanitation, traceability, allergen and pest controls, and investigate non-conformities and implement corrective actions.
- Support regulatory inspections, customer audits, product recall readiness and relevant food safety certifications.
- Cost Control and Continuous Improvement
- Prepare and manage approved production budgets, monitor operating costs and identify opportunities to improve resource efficiency.
- Track and analyze key performance indicators, including output, yield, productivity, waste, rework, downtime and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Drive continuous improvement to optimize material usage, reduce production losses and improve efficiency while maintaining quality and safety.
- Maintenance and Operational Reliability
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance with engineering teams and equipment suppliers to minimize downtime.
- Work with technical teams to plan critical spare parts and utility requirements and maintain accurate maintenance records.
- Promote safe equipment operation and coordinate the timely escalation and resolution of equipment-related issues.
- People Leadership and Workplace Safety
- Develop workforce plans, shift structures and staffing requirements, and support recruitment for production roles.
- Lead and develop the production team through training, competency assessments, performance management and clear communication of responsibilities.
- Enforce workplace safety procedures, promote safe working practices and work with relevant teams to address hazards and investigate incidents.
- Cross-functional Coordination and Reporting
- Work closely with the Project Lead, Quality Assurance, procurement, warehouse, finance and human resources to achieve project and operational objectives.
- Provide timely reports on production readiness, operating performance, budget status, key risks and required management actions.
- Coordinate with suppliers, contractors and external stakeholders on matters affecting production setup, compliance and operational continuity.
