- Be responsible for the learning and achievement of all students in the class, ensuring equality of opportunities
- Be responsible and accountable for achieving the highest possible standards in work and conduct
- Consistently treat all students with dignity and build relationships rooted in mutual respect
- Observe proper boundaries appropriate to a teacher’s professional position
- Work proactively and effectively in collaboration and partnership with learners, parents/carers, staff members, and external agencies in the best interest of the children.
- Take responsibility for promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children within the school
- Demonstrate outstanding teaching practice in all areas
- Be accountable for the attainment, progress, and outcome of students you teach and monitor every student’s progress against the assessment and school’s learning goals.
- Set clear and challenging learning targets that build on prior attainment for each student; use an appropriate range of observation, monitoring, and recording strategies as a basis for setting challenging learning objectives for children of all backgrounds, abilities, and dispositions
- Liaise effectively with parents and offer opportunities for them to engage in their child’s learning at home
- Have a clear understanding of the needs of all students, including those with special educational needs; gifted and talented; and/or disabilities; and be able to use and evaluate distinctive teaching approaches to engage and support them all
