The Institut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is a Cambodian non-for-profit research institution established in 1953, IPC is today a scientific research establishment declared of public utility placed under the high patronage of the Ministry of Health of the Kingdom of Cambodia and under the responsibility of the Institute Pasteur on the scientific and technical levels. The IPC is a member of the Pasteur Network, which brings together 33 institutes present on five continents. It shares the Pasteurian values and the ethical charter to which the Pasteur Institutes are bound. The IPC has more than 300 employees, including about 30 expatriates of 10 nationalities and includes 6 research units. It carries out research activities in health biology, public health and service activities (Medical Biology Laboratory, Vaccinations and Water and Food Analyses) and training.
The lnstitut Pasteur du Cambodge (IPC) is looking for a full-time <b> Nurse </b> for the International Vaccination Center based in Phnom Penh. The initial 12-month contract is offered (renewable).
<b> Position Overview</b>
<b> Nurse </b> is one of the essential components for the healthcare system, with a particular focus on the service delivery with well-defined healthcare procedures, emphasizing the importance of regulatory compliance, ethical standards, and adherence to professional nursing practices. The nurse at the International Vaccination Center plays a vital role in ensuring the effective delivery of IVC’s vaccination service for clients.
<b>Main responsibilities:</b>
- Ensuring the effective delivery of the International Vaccination Center’s vaccination service for clients in accordance with established Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), under the supervision of the Medical Supervisor of the International Vaccination Center.
- Administering vaccinations to clients in accordance with established protocols and procedures.
- Assisting Medical Doctors in the various activities and operations of the International Vaccination Center.
- Managing and facilitating on-site client flow to ensure smooth and efficient service delivery.
- Managing and maintaining the cold chain to ensure the proper storage and handling of vaccines and immunoglobulins.
- Managing vaccine and medical supply inventories, including monitoring stock levels and daily product usage.
- Supporting Medical Doctors in the preparation and compilation of monthly activity reports.
- Providing support to the Rabies Prevention Center, when required.
- Ensuring the opening and operation of the center during designated public holidays, when required, to maintain continuity of services for clients.
- Complying with IPC internal rules, regulations, policies, and procedures.
- The total weekly working time is set at 37.5 hours, under IPC regulations, with work schedules distributed over six days (Monday to Saturday).
