Manager, Actuary

*** Position Summary
An actuary is a business professional who analyzes the financial consequences of risk. Actuaries use
mathematics, statistics, and financial theory to study uncertain future events, especially those of concern to
insurance. S/he will responsible for providing support including Life and General insurance products
implementation, monitoring, profit–loss evaluation and insurance reserve calculation

*** Key Responsibilities
- Delivery the mathematical modeling techniques and statistical concepts to determine probability to
price Life and General insurance products;
- Control and calculate of monthly insurance reserve to ensure payment of future benefits (excel spreadsheet);
- Monitor the actual claim experience to ensure that the company’s pricing assumptions are correct
- Monitor the insurance market and product trend in Cambodia
- issue any other necessary Actuarial reports
- Prepare all product documents for filing to the Ministry of Finance e.g. technical note, pricing assumptions

*** Others
- Work closely with Chief Actuary.
- Contact of Regional Chief Actuary and Actuarial support team in oversea country (Thailand)
- Required to develop and maintain relationships with the Ministry of Economy and Finance
- Keep the department’s record of products and terms and conditions.
- Carry out other duties appropriate to this post as requested by Chief Actuary.
