Teaching & Learning
Plan and deliver high-quality Visual Arts lessons aligned with the school curriculum and learning objectives.
Teach students a range of artistic techniques, including drawing, painting, sketching, sculpture, mixed media, and digital art where appropriate.
Develop students’ creativity, imagination, artistic expression, and confidence.
Adapt teaching strategies and activities to meet different learning abilities and needs.
Integrate art history, cultural awareness, and contemporary art into lessons where appropriate.
Encourage students to experiment with different materials, techniques, and artistic styles.
Assessment & Student Progress
Assess students’ artwork and progress using appropriate assessment criteria.
Provide constructive and timely feedback to help students improve their artistic skills.
Maintain accurate records of student achievement and progress.
Support students in developing and presenting individual and group art projects.
Classroom & Studio Management
Establish a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Ensure appropriate use, storage, and maintenance of art materials and equipment.
Follow school health, safety, and child safeguarding procedures, particularly when using art tools and materials.
Maintain an organized and stimulating art classroom/studio.
School Activities & Collaboration
Support school exhibitions, art shows, competitions, performances, and other creative events.
Display and celebrate students’ artwork around the school and during school events.
Collaborate with other teachers to support cross-curricular projects and activities.
Participate in department meetings, professional development, and school activities.
Communicate effectively with parents/guardians regarding students’ learning and progress when required.

Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts, Visual Arts, Art Education, Education, or a related field.
Teaching qualification/certification is preferred.
Previous experience teaching Visual Arts, preferably in an international or private school environment.
Strong knowledge of different art techniques, materials, and creative processes.
Ability to design engaging, student-centered, and age-appropriate art activities.
Good classroom management and communication skills.
Creative, patient, enthusiastic, and adaptable.
Ability to work effectively as part of a teaching team.
Good English communication skills, especially for an international school environment.
