Sound Engineer
- Set up and operate sound equipment for live music shows, concerts, and events
- Mix live audio during performances using analog or digital consoles
- Work closely with artists, stage managers, and production staff to meet sound requirements
- Perform sound checks with performers and adjust EQ, gain structure, monitor mixes, and levels
- Troubleshoot technical issues in real time with minimal disruption
- Set up and manage microphones, monitors, DI boxes, in-ear systems, and PA systems
- Maintain and protect audio gear and cables; assist in teardown and load-out
- Ensure compliance with venue sound limits and local noise regulations
- Coordinate with lighting and stage crews to ensure seamless production
- Support multi-stage or multi-artist setups when needed
- Be required to remain at THE GONG or the designated event venue until the event is fully completed, unless otherwise approved by the Music Director / General Manager (GM).
- Maintain punctuality and reliable attendance, arriving on time for work, rehearsals, recordings, events, and other assigned activities.
- Follow and respect all THE GONG rules, policies, procedures, and instructions from the Music Director / GM and management.
- Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adjust to changing schedules, operational needs, events, and assignments when required.
- Maintain a cooperative, professional, and team-oriented attitude, working closely with the Music Director, GM, and other team members.
- Proactively provide suggestions and practical solutions that can help improve workflow, efficiency, teamwork, and the smooth operation of THE GONG
- Support other operational tasks when required to ensure the smooth and efficient running of activities, events, recordings, and programs.
